Look like it is comfirmed that the Wii U won’t play dvd’s or blu-ray disks. This is coming from Cindy Gordon who is the Vice President of Corporate Affairs of Nintendo of America. Here is the video clip where she says that the Wii U will not be able to play dvd’s and blu-ray disks. Anyone disappointed in this?
If you were hoping that Nintendo would drop some big bombshells for the Nintendo Wii U before E3 2012, well you will just have to wait. Notice what Satoru Iwata said:
“As we will showcase the Wii U at E3 in June this year, the detailed announcements must wait until then.”
There we have it. Iwata is stating that “the detailed announcements” will be talked about at E3 2012. Reggie Fils-Aime did hint at Nintendo dropping some breadcrumbs about the Nintendo Wii U before E3, but don’t expect anything big before E3. You will just have to wait till E3 for Nintendo to showcase what the Nintendo Wii U has to offer.
It has now been confirmed by Nintendo that the Pearl Pink Nintendo 3DS will be sold as a stand alone from February 10th onward in North America. The Pearl Pink 3DS was sold in a bundle with Nintendogs + Cats, but now you can get it just by itself.
So, Capcom has announced that they are making Ace Attorney 5. The only thing they showed off for this game is the logo above. Maybe this game will come out on the Nintendo 3DS, but we don’t know what system it will come out on. We don’t even have any details about the game. We know that it is in development though.
One word to describe this game? Awesome. Mutant Mudds is a 2D side-scrolling platformer that costs $8.99 on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Renegade Kid knows how to create a solid and delicious side-scrolling platform game. A game that spawned from a 3D polygonal DS game that never was release to a DSiware game that also was not released, and then finally into the amazing Mutant Mudds on the Nintendo 3DS. This game takes advantage of layers in the levels, which causes the main character Max to jump from the foreground and background to pursue his goal. Satoru Iwata has talked about information about Nintendo Network at the briefing for Nintendo’s financial report. Nintendo Network is not just a re-naming of Nintendo WFC, but it will feature newer ideas.
