There is a new trailer for Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed below plus some new details about the Wii U version of the game.
- swipe finger down on touch screen to switch TV action down to GamePad
- swipe finger up to toss the game back onto the TV
- screen displays the current order of racers and a mini-map of the course
- watch where your weapons go with a weapon cam on the GamePad
- use motion controls for steering if you want
- ‘Super Monkey Ball Arena’ mini-game puts you in control of AiAi
- AiAi is controlled by the GamePad while other players play with Wii U Pro controllers
- AiAi has to roll over his opponents while inside his monkey ball
- game is “easily on a par [with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions]”
- devs are getting a handle on the hardware, but think it’ll allow them to do things they couldn’t before
