Satoru Iwata brought out that people might think that New Super Mario Bros. 2 is “the usual Super Mario” when they first see it, but the art designer for the game brought out that there are new features added to the game that make it fresh. One example is the Coin Rush mode and also the Dash Mario stages where Mario continues to run automatically across the stage while the player tries to time his jumps right. Blow me away Nintendo!
