In Mario Tennis Open you can unlock different colored Yoshis and a Yoshi costume by scanning QR codes. Watch the video above and it will explain how to proceed through this process. The video will also show the QR code for the Yoshi costume so you can scan it. Below you will find the QR code for the Blue Yoshi:
Nintendo UK has announced the Yoshi Chase event, which is a chase to try and get all the different colored Yoshis in Mario Tennis Open. This activity will have you do different things such as going to a certain store to find QR codes to scan so you can earn a new colored Yoshi. Check out the official Nintendo UK page for details of this event. This has only been announced in the UK for now, but I would think other regions will be doing something of the sort.
Below are some details concerning QR codes for Mario Tennis Open:
- codes to unlock multicolored Yoshis
- these Yoshis will have different statistics
- blue Yoshi and six question-mark circles to be revealed
- QR code that will give players a Yoshi costume
- this lets your Mii run as fast as Yoshi
- more QR code features to be revealed at a later date
Looks like there will be QR codes for you to scan so you can get different colored Yoshis. Each of the different colored Yoshis will have their own unique statistics , so you will have a choice on which one you want to play as. I do not know how these QR codes will be given out, but details about that should come out later.
The roster for Mario Tennis Open has been shown off. These include the characters that you start out in the game with and those that you can unlock. In case you don’t want to be spoiled before you play the game, the roster of characters is after the break. I remember reading that Nintendo was going to give out special characters through QR codes, so maybe this is not the final roster.
