Nintendo has announced a large scale piece of DLC for the Nintendo Wii U title New Super Mario Bros. U. The DLC is called New Super Luigi U and there will be a new adventure for Luigi. Nintendo is going to be changing the existing 81 courses of NSMB U into new courses. It will take some time to develop this DLC, but it will be coming to the Wii U eShop this year.
New Super Mario Bros. U has received a new community in Miiverse. It is called the Developer’s Room and you can’t actually make new posts in it but you can reply to whatever the developers are saying.
Nintendo has launched the official Youtube channel for the Nintendo Wii U title New Super Mario Bros. U. Nintendo will be uploading videos on Super Play runthroughs and tips and tricks. You can check out the channel at this link HERE.
It was revealed in the latest Japanese Nintendo Direct that Nintendo is making a New Super Mario Bros. U Youtube channel. I guess they can post some speed runs and guides.
Masataka Takemoto, game director for New Super Mario Bros. U, has explained why Princess Peach was not a playable character in New Super Mario Bros. U:
“In Super Mario Bros 2, Princess Peach had her own unique moves and animation. In this series, we want all the players to have the same moves and animations as Mario, and Princess Peach isn’t suited for that.”
I don’t see why they just can’t give Peach the same moves as the other characters in New Super Mario Bros. U. I guess we won’t be seeing Peach in any upcoming New Super Mario Bros. games unless they make a game like Super Mario Bros. 2.
Supposedly a second update for New Super Mario Bros. U is causing your saved data to be deleted. Now, this could just be an isolated incident, but it could be a problem with the update itself. I didn’t know there was a second update for New Super Mario Bros. U, but you might want to be careful downloading it.
Want to know how large the sizes of the updates for New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendo Land are? The Nintendo Land update takes up 221 MB while New Super Mario Bros. U takes up 29 MB.
It has been confirmed in a recent Iwata Asks that DLC will be available for the Nintendo Wii U title New Super Mario Bros. U in the form of additional courses. Now, we don’t know if these are going to be new courses for Challenge Mode or any other mode. Nintendo hasn’t even started making them yet.
