According the The Nikkei Satoru Iwata stated that they are going to be releasing about 10 in-house developed Nintendo 3DS games next year. I guess that means first-party titles so that is good to hear for 2014 for the 3DS.
The Nintendo 3DS has been able to sell 10 million in 98 weeks of it being released in Japan. Keep in mind these are just the figures for Japan so expect the numbers to be higher when encompassing all regions.
With the release of a new system update for the Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo has done the same for the Nintendo 3DS. You can go ahead and head to your Nintendo 3DS and download the system update now. What the update does to your 3DS I am not sure, but I am guessing it fixes some minor bug issues.
Rich of IGN has stated that in less than two years the Nintendo 3DS has outsold the lifetime sales of the Gamecube. Plus, the 3DS has sold 2/3 that of the Nintendo 64 and half of that of the Super Nintendo. Pretty good sales for the Nintendo 3DS since it is still early in its life.
Nintendo of America has announced on their Facebook page that they are going to be holding a Nintendo Direct presentation tomorrow October 25th, 2012 at 7 AM Pacific Time/10 AM Eastern Time. Nintendo is going to be talking about some already announced Nintendo 3DS titles that are coming out and also sneak peeks for some 2013 games. Looks like it is going to be mostly focused on the Nintendo 3DS and not the Wii U.

It has been revealed that the upcoming Nintendo 3DS title Ace Attorney 5 will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show with a 15 minute demo of the game. You can find some details about Ace Attorney 5 below:

There is now an official release date for Roller Coaster Tycoon 3D in North America. It has been confirmed that this Nintendo 3DS title will be heading to North America on October 16th. Anyone planning on picking up this game?
Nintendo of America has announced via their Twitter account that Brain Age: Concentration Training will be arriving in North America for the Nintendo 3DS on December 3rd, 2012.
It has been announced that Medabot 7 will be arriving on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on September 13th and will feature over 700 parts for you to choose from for your robots. You can find some screenshots for the game after the break.
It has been confirmed by Natsume that the Nintendo 3DS title Harvest Moon: A New Beginning Will be arriving in North America on November 6th. If you happen to pre-order the special edition of the game you will receive a plush cow and if you pre-order the regular game you will receive a plush yak. I would rather have the yak, but that is just me.
