Renegade Kid Watsham of Renegade Kid Certain That Wii U Will Have an Excellent Future

The following is coming from Jools Watsham of Renegade Kid when talking with Nintendo Life:

“I am certain the Wii U will have an excellent future. The writing is on the wall. It is an excellent console. Nintendo has some amazing titles lined up for future releases. Even though Q1 2013 may have had some issues, I predict that the 2013 holiday season will be huge for the Wii U. Nintendo’s campaign for the Wii U has only just begun.”

We really don’t know everything Nintendo has in store for the Wii U towards the end of the year and onward but Watsham seems to be certain that the Wii U will have a great future. This years E3 may have some good announcements for the new system. 3D Mario. Mario Kart. Retro Studio’s Wii U project.

Renegade Kid Renegade Kid to Reveal New Wii U and 3DS Info in March

Jools Watsham of Renegade Kid was interviewed by Siliconera and revealed that they are going to be releasing some new information at PAX East in March for some “3DS and Wii U goodness.” Watsham revealed before that Renegade Kid is working on one 3DS and one Wii U game. We don’t know what the games are but I am guessing the 3DS game will be Mutant Mudds 2.

During an interview with Gimme Gimme Games Jools Watsham of Renegade Kid was asked about if he was up to the idea of making a Mutant Mudds game that had full 3D worlds. Here is what Jools said:

Jools: “Maybe. icon smile Mutant Mudds Game With Full 3D Worlds? ”

That smiley face could be taken that he is hinting at something. Mutant Mudds did start out as a 3D platformer so maybe Mutant Mudds 2 will have some of it implemented?

We’re finishing up ATV Wild Ride 3D for the eShop and Mutant Mudds Deluxe for Wii U. Plus, a couple of secret projects. icon smile Renegade Kid Working on Secret Projects

So, ATV Wild Ride 3D and Mutant Mudds Deluxe are coming out, but what else could Renegade Kid be working on? Are they going to be for the 3DS or Wii U? Time will tell.

Renegade Kid is going to be releasing the Nintendo 3DS eShop title Mutant Mudds on the PC in the not to distant future. With the release of the PC version, Renegade Kid has added in some extra content and people are wondering if they are going to release this same content for the 3DS version. Here is what Renegade Kid’s Jools Watsham has to say:

…the reality is that it takes time to add the levels to the 3DS version and it requires approval from Nintendo. I don’t expect Nintendo to have a problem with us adding the levels to the existing game (they allowed Wayforward with Mighty Switch Force), but I cannot say for certain that they will simply say yes, because I am not Nintendo. And besides, once we have added the new content to the 3DS version, we will have to resubmit the game to the ESRB and through Nintendo’s approval process, which just takes time.

Basically it comes down to the amount of time it takes for this extra content to be released to the public. Renegade Kid would have to resubmit Mutant Mudds to the ESRB for a rating and then they would have to send it to Nintendo for approval. There is a possibility that they will release this extra content for the 3DS version, but it will just take some time.
